As a child, I already knew that my father and my grandfather are very professional and excellent in business. My father is currently a manager in one of the departments at a Taiwanese Telecom company, and my grandfather was a successful businessman who started his own Japanese style trading company. Until now, they have always been my models and the reason why I became interested in the field of management and business. In order to improve myself and to have a successful career as my father and grandfather do, I need a more profound understanding of management and analytical skills such as business strategy, the ways of evaluation, and operations management for being stable in any business. Therefore, taking the Management program is the best choice for my study and career path.

The four-year college life has strengthened my enthusiasm and goals for the management. I participated in the Student Association of Economics and took charge of public relations for one year. At this time, my role as a director provided me ample opportunities to gain invaluable practical experiences, such as problem-solving and dealing with crises and developed my potential for leadership. During the year, I have benefited greatly from organizing many departmental activities and school competitions. While facing various challenges, I also got to cultivate the skill of management. Because of these experiences, I realized that executing organizational behavior is a significant and necessary skill in any field. In addition, I understood how to solve the problem of team efficiency. For my second year of college, I got the certification of Common Sense and Professional Ethics in Finance Markets in my second-year economics for establishing the essential knowledge in the business field. In my senior year, I completed my thesis “The influencing factors of Taiwanese Stock Price Index” with three classmates for deepening my understanding of the financial market. In all, my college experience has given me a strong motivation to be a graduate student who wants to be proficient in the management.

I have a strong passion and motivation for studying in the Management program. I hope to not only advance my professional knowledge but also achieve the goal of creating excellent value for the company, which includes the well-methods of conducting the employees in the future company. Additionally, I was inspired by my father because he always tells me that I must continue to learn in order to enhance my value and be more mature as a person. I know that coming to George Mason University for pursuing the Master Degree in the management is the right choice. Moreover, because my father is very professional in the field of management and IT, I was interested in the course “Management of IT” in this department. I think coming here for the Master degree will be worthwhile and helpful for my future career. Personally, I want to be a manager who has a substantial impact and value in a company especially in the field of business and Internet technology in the future. Thus, I firmly believe that your MS program will expand my knowledge base as well as develop my existing skills.

I will bring my previous experience, my perseverance, my determination along with an enthusiastic heart that loves learning to Mason. Also, my economic knowledge will be helpful for my graduate study to connect with the management. I have strong confidence that my leadership will be significant to my Master’s degree for creating a great learning atmosphere and the spirit of teamwork during the class. Most importantly, I would love to collaborate with my fellow students during the semester and communicate with Professors sincerely and frequently as much as I can. I wish that they are not just my classmates or professors, but also be my friends and mentors. It is my sincere hope that I can establish great interpersonal relationships at Mason because I believe that good friends can become supportive forces and assistance even after everyone has left the campus after the graduation. Furthermore, I expect to continue to gain a high GPA including current GPA and further improve myself in the field of management here. Moreover, the most important things during the graduate study are to know well on the content of each course and find a suitable internship; I do not allow myself to waste my precious time and to have any grey areas. As a result, I strongly believe I can be an excellent student of Master of Science in Management, bringing my own experience, perspective, and aspiration into the program. I desire to learn more knowledge here and become a graduate student who will make you proud in the future.
